Happy birthday!
Today is the 35th birthday of the creative artist DeLisle.
Austin DeLisle Evelyn was born on this day in 1988. Known professionally as DeLisle, he is a creative artist and record label owner.
He was born in Maryland to a strong Nuyorican mother and a Bajan father who grew up in Brooklyn, New York. Before his birth, they moved to a Maryland suburb in the hopes of giving their son a life they never had growing up. They instilled in him a passion for writing and creative arts.
Once he began college, he minored in screenwriting and was focused on entering the film industry. During that time he went to many concerts, one of which changed his life forever. This was a B.o.B concert at Drexel University where DJ Diplo and Major Lazer opened up. This wasn’t too long after B.o.B’s “Strange Clouds” album release.
DeLisle had an epiphany and decided that he would combine his love for writing with his love for music. Inspired by this, he worked on his craft and started the music label “DeLisle Life.”
This award will be his. It’s not a matter of if, only when.
